Oh boy...I am tired! I apologize up front for any typos! This boy got up every 2 hours to eat and takes about 30 mins to drink 2 oz. Today the Dr. said his pneumonia sounded better but now he has thrush. We got meds for that and we are hoping that he will starting taking more formula (in a shorter amount of time) :)
Overall he looks good. We will continue to see the Dr. once a week until he is growing at a steady rate.
This is a glimpse into our journey to our sweet Ethiopian son. Through this journey we found a new heart. God lead us closer to himself and we are forever grateful for this opportunity.

I am right there with you. Wish I had purchased 10 lbs of coffee. Desta has the chest thing too...got xrays this morning...yuck...praying that Nile decides American formula is unbelievable and puts down 8 soon!
He is super cute!!! Glad to see him in person. I hope he is doing better.
Hi, I clicked over from another blog to another to another … and somehow found yours! First of all, NIle is ADORABLE!!! Oh my!
Second, we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Vandy too! Our daughter, home from China for one year now, has spent many hours there for heart surgeries and cleft surgeries. If I may say so, with a totally uneducated mind, I IMMEDIATELY thought his lips looked blue (like my daughter's do when her oxygen sat. levels are down). I know this is probably already being looked at, but have they checked his heart? I just ask b/c I have heard heart defects can be missed even here in the US.
I don't want to make you worried but something about his lips and the color really reminded me of my precious little girl who has a really special heart! And also, heart babies are notorious for not gaining weight. Hope he is feeling better very soon and that you get a good night's sleep. No food for little hungry bellies equals hard times. BTDT and it is not fun. Hugs!

PS: We are with AWAA too! Maybe that is how I found your blog. Still not sure but glad I did!
